GEORGE NEWS - The George Arts Theatre has been given the rights to be the first to stage the theatre version of Khumba.
Khumba is a delightful South African computer-animated comedy film about a zebra who is half-striped like a quagga.
Except for his parents and Tombi, his whole herd blames him for the lack of rain. He embarks on a quest to earn his stripes.
From the George Society of Arts production team, the script has been written and the show conceptualised by Carina Beukes, who has brought to the stage a variety of popular plays.
Khumba will be on stage at the theatre on the following dates in December:
- Thursday (14/12) at 19:00
- Friday (15/12) at 19:00
- Saturday (16/12) at 14:00 (matinee) and at 19:00
- Sunday (17/12) at 14:00
